The Healy Senior Center Lunch Room

 The Senior Lunch Program

Our Lunch Program is provided by the Healy Senior Center. Reservations are required and may be made by calling the Senior Center at 707-923-2399 before 10:00 AM and up to one week in advance.

Seniors 60 and older suggested donation is $6 to $8. Non-seniors  cost is $8

Lunches are served 12:30PM (Check-in by 12:10 PM) every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at the Center

 Meals-On-Wheels Program

Disabled, homebound, or diabetic adults aged 60 or older are eligible for freshly prepared meals home delivered weekdays between 12:15-1:45 pm. Spouses, caregivers, and adult disabled children of eligible senior may also receive meals. A donation of $6 to $8 per meal is requested.

Ability of volunteer drivers to reach destinations within required time lines determines how far from the main route we can travel. Service area is along the Hwy 101 corridor.  Meals are prepared at SHCHD, Garberville.

Those persons qualifying who live outside our regular delivery area are eligible for once a week pick-up of five frozen dinners at the Center @ $3 each. Contact the Center for more information.

 

 Brown Bag Food Program

The Humboldt County Senior Brown Bag Program provides supplementary groceries to low income Seniors. This is a program of Food for People, Inc. of Eureka. Call 707-445-3166 or the Senior Center at 707-923-2399 to see if you qualify.  A box of groceries a month is distributed to enrollees on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 1:30 pm at the Senior Center.
